Mr. Brewster Spectacular

Mr. Brewster 2014 - Christopher Blank
with Brian McPartland

On Friday, March 7th, the S.A.L.T.Y. Hands Club for CF and Brewster High School in Putnam County, NY held the 3rd Annual Mr. Brewster Spectacular to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This year, 17 seniors out did themselves and raised over $12,000!

Over 300 individuals attended the Spectacular and watched as Christopher Blank was crowned as this year's Mr. Brewster! Chris, a three sport athlete at Brewster High School, personally raised $2,690! Points were based on the dollar amount raised and contestants were judged on four categories: Formal Wear, Questionnaire, Hidden Talent, and the highlight of the evening, the Group Dance performance! For parents, students, teachers, staff, and community members, the evening was fun and entertaining, all for a great cause!

Brian McPartland, who has cystic fibrosis, was an original member of the S.A.L.T.Y. Hands Club. Brian, now a junior at Duke University, was on hand for the event, and appreciated the efforts of so many to make such a difference. Brian started the CureFinders 4 CF club on Duke's campus to help raise funds and awareness for cystic fibrosis.

The S.A.L.T.Y. Hands Club of BHS will also support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation by participating in the Putnam County Great Strides Walk on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Putnam Veterans Memorial Park.
