Seth Misshula’s Cooking Competition

On Thursday, March 6, 2014, volunteer Seth Misshula held the first ever “Seth Misshula’s Cooking Competition” fundraiser in New York City. The competition took place at My Cooking Party, a NYC-based culinary company which stages hands-on corporate team building events and private cooking parties.

After a cocktail hour, the 75 guests were split into teams and tasked with creating an appetizer with the ingredients that they were given. Special guest judges tasted each dish and chose a winner.

Guest judges included Jeffrey Blank – CF adult, Sawan Thakkar - Regional Manager of Operations at Morton’s Steakhouse, Elias Iglesias – Executive Chef at Morton’s Steakhouse in New York City, and Crazy Legs Conti - National competitive eater.

Other highlights of the evening included a speech by Jeffrey Blank about life as an adult with cystic fibrosis, and the crowd-favorite meatball eating competition.

The event was a huge success, raising over $51,000 for New York City’s 2014 Great Strides Walk.
