Did you know that our 5th Edition of CFForward was the first issue converted into print? After much consideration here at the Greater New York Chapter, we decided that only having a digital copy of the newsletter was limiting our reach. It is fundamental to be able to share our events, amazing volunteer stories, scientific updates, and Foundation information with everyone, regardless if a computer or Smartphone is available. The CFF story needs to be told.

After distributing hard copies of the newsletter, we received a resounding positive response from volunteers and donors. Everyone from CF families at our local Care Centers, to guests and volunteers visiting our offices, were happy to read this comprehensive chapter update. If you would like a hard copy of the latest edition of CFForward please send me an e-mail at mhudson@cff.org with your mailing information and you will automatically be added onto our mailing list for future issues.

Social media has played a critical role in our Chapter for several years now. During the month of May, which was CF Awareness month, we really focused on expanding our reach on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram through posting CF facts, highlighting volunteers, sharing a #WhyIStride4CF video, and more! We are happy to announce we now have over 1,000 likes on Facebook, 785 followers on Twitter, and 222 followers on Instagram. We saw a tremendous growth throughout the month of May, which translates into more CF awareness. We plan to keep the momentum going! You can also follow us on our chapter’s brand new Pinterest account where we are posting recipes, events, CFF news, and exercise tips.
