2015 Great Strides

Great Strides season is quickly approaching! The 2015 Walk websites are currently up-and-running, and we recommend starting or renewing your team as soon as possible! You can register for a Great Strides by clicking here.

If you are a returning walker, please remember to sign-in using your existing username and password. Also, be sure to save any photos or email templates from your 2014 page prior to December 31, 2014, as they will not carry over onto the 2015 pages. If you need any help registering your team, please call your local Greater NY Chapter office for assistance!

We are also happy to announce a new fundraising feature on the Great Strides website, passion fundraising, which will launch on Monday, December 15th. Passion fundraising takes place when someone finds an activity or hobby that they love to do and turns it into a fundraiser. The first step in creating your own passion fundraising event is to identify what you love, whether it’s music, sports, cooking or a good old fashioned party. Next, utilize the passion fundraising page to hold your own personalized event, to raise money for your Great Strides campaign! Passion fundraising pages are available to all Great Strides registrants. Simply log-in and check your participant center to get started!

Important note on attendance for people with CF and their families:

The health and well-being of people with cystic fibrosis is our top priority. Medical evidence shows that certain bacteria can be passed between individuals who have CF and can lead to worse symptoms and speed decline in lung function. To limit the serious risk of cross-infection between people with CF, at any outdoor event, people with CF should maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from each other.
