Event Highlight – CFF Stair Climb

The largest team, Breathe Believe, was led by team leader Angela Ruggeri.

Citi Field was full of excitement on Sunday, October 25th as over 275 individuals climbed the stadium stairs. Our beloved NY Mets had just become National League Champions and were off to the World Series! Although the Mets were not triumphant, the CFF Stair Climb reached new heights, raising over $40,000!

Climbers and spectators enjoyed pump up music from the Partners in Sound DJ, listened to the amazing story of 39 year-old Nick Talbot, a CFer who survived the recent Mount Everest avalanche, and the stunning voice of Julia Rae, 2015 Miss Philadelphia and cystic fibrosis patient, as she sang the National Anthem. Before taking on the Black or Double Black Diamond courses, event attendees also enjoyed live music from the band Dragon Fly 13 and participated in a variety of activities hosted by event sponsors - iLoveKickboxing.com, Walgreens, Energice, Ridgewood Savings Bank, Respertec, IV Solutions, Gilead, and Allergan.

Special recognition goes out to Dominique Cimina, Family and Friends Team Chair, who along with her climbers on Team Luca, led the fundraising charge raising over $8,000! Let’s not forget the brave individuals who wore a 20 lb weighted vest during their trek on the Double Black Diamond course!
